Getting Started

Sign in, understand your workspace, and find your way around the interface.

Sign in with your email and password, or with Sign in with Google. If you don't have an account yet, create one from the same screen and confirm your email address.

Security options like two-factor authentication and connecting your Google account are covered in Account & Team.

Your workspace is a team

You always work inside a team workspace — that's where your panels, studies, and reports live and where you collaborate with colleagues. Your personal account only holds your profile and security settings, not research.

  • The workspace dropdown at the bottom left shows the current team.
  • Use Switch Team to move between teams; the active one has a checkmark.
  • Create a Team starts a new workspace.

If you're brand new, you'll be guided to create your first team before you can start researching.

The interface at a glance

The left sidebar is your home base:

  • New Thread — start a new conversation with the Research Agent.
  • Library — everything you've created:
    • Studies — your surveys, in every state
    • Panels — your audiences
    • Reports — finished results
  • Threads — your past conversations. You can pin, rename, and archive them, and switch between Active and Archived.
  • Footer — a link to this Documentation, a trial note if one is active, and the workspace dropdown (with Settings, Members, and the Light / Dark / System theme switch).

At the top of a team you'll also find the notification bell, which tells you when a report is ready or a survey needs attention.

The one thing to remember

You don't create studies, panels, or reports through forms — you create them in conversation with the Research Agent. When a library is still empty, you'll see a prompt like "Studies are created in conversation with the Research Agent." and an Ask the Research Agent button that drops you straight into chat.

Your first five minutes

  1. Make sure the right team is selected in the workspace dropdown.
  2. Click New Thread.
  3. Type what you want to learn in plain language and send it.
  4. Follow the agent's lead — it will help you pick a panel and shape a study.
  5. When the survey finishes, your Report appears automatically under Reports.

The next section, Research Agent, covers the conversation itself in depth.
