Studies
Design a study — the research question, the questions, scales, and probing.
A Study is a survey design aimed at one panel: a research question, the questions you want answered, and any image stimuli. You shape it with the agent, and refine the details in the Study Design editor.
The design editor
The study design opens in the dock — an expandable panel next to the chat (Dock Study Design). Under Current Study Design you'll find:
- Research question — the central thing you want to learn. Keep it focused; it steers everything the panel is asked.
- Panel — the audience the study runs against (or "No panel selected" until you pick one).
- Questions — the individual questions put to each panel member.
Your edits save automatically — you'll see "All changes saved" or "Saving changes…" as you work.
Question types
Add a question with Add open question or Add scale question:
- Open question — a free-text answer. Set the Question text, and optionally Probing instructions that tell the agent how deeply to follow up when an answer is thin.
- Closed scale — a rating. Set the Scale range and the Minimum and Maximum labels so the ends of the scale are unambiguous.
Reorder questions with Move up / Move down, or remove one with Delete. A good study mixes a few sharp scale questions with one or two open questions that explain the "why" behind the numbers.
In this section
- Stimuli & Languages — show images and control the survey language.
- Running & Progress — launch the survey and follow it to a report.
- When Something Goes Wrong — failures, resuming, and version conflicts.
