Errors & Edge Cases
Common on-screen messages explained in plain language, and what to do next.
When the platform stops you, it's usually for a good reason. Here's what the messages you're most likely to see mean — and the fix.
Credits and limits
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Not enough credits | Running this study or panel costs more credits than your team has. | Ask a team owner about topping up; the price is always shown before you approve. |
| Plan limit reached | Your plan's allowance for this action is used up. | An owner can review the plan; wait for the next cycle or upgrade. |
| No Panel Slot available | Your team has no free panel slot. | Archive an unused Team panel to free one — see Managing Panels. |
| Owner-only action | Starting paid work (a survey, a panel generation) is limited to owners. | Ask a team owner to start it, or to change your role. |
These are about permission and capacity, not something being broken — no data is lost, and nothing is charged when you're blocked.
Something didn't finish
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| A survey failed | Usually temporary; check any stimulus image, then start again. |
| An analysis failed | Use the Resume button — it continues without re-running the survey. |
| A design version conflict | Choose Keep mine, Load current, or View differences. |
The study-specific cases are covered in depth in When Something Goes Wrong.
Everyday states that aren't errors
- Empty libraries show a prompt to ask the Research Agent — that's the normal starting point, not a problem.
- "The Research Agent is working…" means a turn is in progress; you can queue another message meanwhile.
- A new version is available — reload the page to pick up the latest app update.
When a message isn't listed here
Some messages point to a temporary service issue on our side. If retrying after a short wait doesn't help, note what you were doing and contact support (the Documentation link and your team owner are good starting points).
