Launch the survey, understand what each status means, and follow the analysis to a report.
Launching the survey
When the design is ready, the agent shows a Study start card — the pre-flight summary. Check it carefully:
- Panel and participants — who and how many
- Questions — how many will be asked
- Estimated duration — roughly how long it'll take
- Price — the cost in credits
Then a Review tool request card appears; click Allow to launch. If you don't have enough credits, the card says "There are not enough Credits to start this study." instead of starting — see Errors & Edge Cases.
The study lifecycle
A study moves through a clear sequence of states:
| Status | What's happening |
|---|---|
| Draft | You're still designing it; nothing has run. |
| Approved | Launch confirmed; the survey is being set up. |
| Survey running | The panel is answering. |
| Interpretation running | Answers are in; the results are being analyzed. |
| Report draft | The report is assembled and ready to read. |
| Published | The report is finalized. |
Two states mean something needs attention — survey failed and analysis failed — plus abandoned for a study that was stopped. Those are covered in When Something Goes Wrong.
Following the analysis
While results are being processed, the study page shows the current stage:
Fetching answers → Mapping batches → Reducing findings → Verifying quotes → Building charts → Composing report.
You don't need to do anything during these — they run on their own. You can watch progress on the study page, or via the Study progress card in the chat.
When it's done
The moment a study completes, its Report appears automatically — no button to press. You'll also get a notification (the bell in the team header). Read it from the Reports library or right in the thread; see the Reports section.
Good to know
- Surveys run in the background — you can close the tab and come back; progress isn't lost.
- The price is shown before you approve, never after — you always see the cost first.
