Managing Threads

Pin, rename, and archive conversations, and handle the message queue.

Threads are listed in the sidebar. As you accumulate projects, a little housekeeping keeps things findable.

Organizing conversations

From a thread's menu (the actions) you can:

  • Pin / Unpin — keep an important thread at the top of the list.
  • Rename — give it a clear name (up to 40 characters).
  • Archive / Restore — move a finished thread out of the way without deleting it.

Switch between Active Threads and Archived Threads at the top of the list. Pinned threads appear in their own Pinned group.

The message queue

If you send another message while the agent is still working, it doesn't get lost — it goes into a queue and runs when the current turn finishes. You can:

  • Continue — let the queued messages run.
  • Clear queue — discard what's waiting (you'll be asked to confirm).

If the queue is full, the composer tells you; just wait for the current work to finish.

When a turn fails

Occasionally a turn can't complete — a temporary hiccup, a lost connection. The thread shows a short note with a Retry button. Retrying re-runs just that turn; your earlier conversation stays intact.

Good to know

  • Archiving is reversible — nothing is deleted, so archive freely to keep the active list short.
  • A thread is the natural unit for one research project; start a New Thread for an unrelated question rather than mixing topics.
