Billing

Your team's plan and credits.

Billing is per team, not per person. Your team's credits come from its plan: the one-time trial credits of On Demand, the monthly credits of a subscription or contract, and credit packages you buy on the Billing page. Individual members never buy or pay for anything. The prices are in Pricing and credits.

The Billing page

Depending on your contract, your team has a Billing area under Settings, also reachable through Billing in the account menu. If it's missing, everything runs through your contract and there is nothing to do in the app.

The page shows Buy credits and the Plans card comparing On Demand, Start, Grow and Enterprise: Price, Credits, Free Panel Slots, Max. Panel size, Premium Twins and API and MCP. Under Billing you switch between Yearly and Monthly. Your plan carries the Current plan badge. With a subscription or contract, the Your Plan card sits above.

With a contract, Your Plan shows the Enterprise plan and its status:

InactiveThe contract has ended. Your team keeps working on the On Demand plan, with trial credits and valid packages.

Only owners can manage billing. For members, Billing shows View only in the Overview. Below the title they see Only Owners change the plan and buy credits: with their names, and the Plans card without buttons.

Subscribing

An owner of a team without a subscription and without a running contract picks the billing interval in the Plans card and clicks Subscribe to Start or Subscribe to Grow. The checkout opens on the page. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the plan applies and the monthly credits are available. For Enterprise, Contact sales leads to the contact form.

With Visit Billing Portal an owner manages invoices, payment details and the subscription, including upgrade, downgrade and cancellation. While a contract is running, no subscription can be taken out; after the contract ends it works like for any other team.

Monthly credits

A subscription's credits arrive every month, on an annual contract too. Whatever is left at the end of the month lapses. An upgrade applies at once: the rest of the old month lapses, the full allocation of the new plan is available immediately, and the following months count from the upgrade. A downgrade applies from the next contract period; until then your team gets the monthly credits of its current plan. An Enterprise contract without a subscription gets its monthly allocation the same way: every month from the contract start for as long as the contract runs; one-time credits from the contract are packages valid for 12 months.

Buying credit packages

Every team can buy credit packages of 50, 250 or 1,000 credits under Buy credits on the Billing page, with or without a subscription, during and after a contract. The price per credit depends on your current plan; the card shows it and the price of each package, and the price table is in Pricing and credits. A package is valid for 12 months from purchase, independent of your subscription.

  1. Check how many Available credits are left on the Usage page. See Credits, usage & limits.
  2. Choose a package and pay in the checkout that opens.
  3. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the package appears under Available credits with its expiry date.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, the package is revoked; credits from it that were already used become debt and are settled with the next credits you receive.

If there aren't enough credits for a start, the start card says There are not enough credits to start this Study. If your team has the Billing page, Buy credits takes you there. Otherwise View team members takes you to the member list so you can see who the owners are.

When the plan ends

  • Your team falls back to the On Demand plan and keeps working with trial credits and valid packages. Without credits, new survey runs, ad-hoc questions and new tasks for Iris aren't possible.
  • Open confirmation and upload links from integrations become invalid for good, even if the plan is renewed later.
  • Designs, studies, reports and panels stay with the team. Panels of Premium Twins stay readable; a new survey run with them needs the right plan again.
