Team context
Tell Iris once who you are and what to keep in mind.
The team context is a short text about your company that Iris reads in every thread of your team. You no longer have to explain your industry, brands and usual audiences in each conversation.
Write the team context
- In the account menu, open Settings > Team context.
- Write the text in the Team context for Iris, without study content or panel answers field. It holds up to 2,000 characters; the counter below shows how many you've used.
- Click Save.
Only owners can write it. Members see the text but can't change it: in the Overview, Team context shows View only for them, and below the title it says Only Owners change the Team context: with their names. A change applies from your next message to Iris, including in ongoing threads.

What belongs in it
Write down what applies to almost every study:
- Company and industry: what you make or sell, and in which market.
- Brands and products: names, categories, what they stand for.
- Usual audiences: who you survey most, for example families with children or health-conscious adults.
- Research priorities: the KPIs and questions that matter to you again and again.
- Wording rules: terms you use or avoid.
- What you don't want: topics, competitors or phrasing that are off limits.
An example:
We are a food manufacturer of breakfast and snack products sold through German supermarkets. Brands: Morning Crunch (oat bars), Peanut Caramel Crunch (snack bars). We mostly survey parents of children aged 4 to 12 and health-conscious adults. Purchase intent, pack clarity and credible claims matter most to us. Say "snack bar", not "candy bar".
What doesn't belong in it
As the field label says: no study content and no panel answers. Questions, stimuli and results belong in the study itself. Instructions to Iris such as "always start right away" have no effect either. Iris treats the text as background knowledge, not as a command.
How Iris uses the team context
- Iris reads the text at the start of every reply and plans with it, for example when suggesting audiences or questions.
- When Iris takes an assumption from the team context, she says so in the conversation.
- The team context does not feed into the analysis or the report. Those are based on the survey run as you started it and on the answers.
- Iris never edits the team context herself and learns nothing from your threads. Whatever it says, an owner wrote.
